Solid Foundations ~ Bright Expectations

"For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 3:11

In Early Childhood and in the Child Development Department, we have the opportunity to lay a solid foundation in young children that can be built upon for the rest of their lives. We consider this a great privilege and great responsibility.

A solid foundation spiritually... He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. (Luke 6:48). We believe it is never too early to begin influencing young lives for Christ. In the Child Development Department we have Bible curriculum starting at one year of age and continuing through K-4. Our teachers are believers who are encouraged to daily represent Christ through personal interaction, books, songs, videos, music, etc.

A solid foundation academically... "Wise men store up knowledge..." (Proverbs 10:14) We believe Early Childhood Education is our opportunity to encourage a love of learning that prepares each child for years of success in school. It is our belief that learning is fun and should be fun. A child who is taught to have that attitude throughout their early learning experience will likely benefit by and carry it with them through their years of education.

A solid foundation socially... "And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men". Luke 2:52 We believe that by providing a loving, nurturing environment focused on character development, children will develop to become confident, contributing individuals in their community.

Bright Expectations... "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." (Proverbs 22:6) Like a tree that is just beginning to send down roots, children will grow in the way they are first encouraged. In the Child Development Department we strive to point them in the right direction as they begin to walk thru life. It is our hope to start them on the right path to a bright future in school, in life and in Christ.
