Hours of Operation

The Child Development Department is open year round Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. We are closed for the following holidays: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

License

CLCD has been licensed by the state of Wisconsin to provide childcare since January 5, 1993. All terms of licensing are available at the State of Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services 141 N.W. Barstow St. Waukesha, WI 53188. Our license and any non-compliances are posted in the main office of Christian Life School. We are able to serve children ages 3 weeks to 12 years with a capacity of 110.

Teachers

Each staff member meets the educational guidelines as set forth in the Wisconsin Licensing Regulations HFS 46 that include but are not limited to : Intro to Child Care Profession, Skills and Strategies for the Child Care Teacher, SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) Risk Reduction Training, Shaken Baby Syndrome Prevention Training. Many of our teachers have additional credentials including CDA (Child Development Associate), college credits and/or degrees in Education, Social Services or Psychology.

Class Size

Each of the rooms follows the teacher to child ratios set forth by the Wisconsin Licensing Rules and Regulations HFS 46 for each age group:

• Infants, Younger Ones/Older Ones 1:4 - maximum group size of 8
• Twos 1:6 - maximum group size of 12
• 3'school 1:10 - maximum group size of 20
• K-4 1:12 - maximum group size of 24
• Extended Care/Day Camp 1:18 - maximum group size of 32
